MAP, EOP, AP, and other testing

MAP and EOC tests are CANCELED for 2020

Missouri has canceled required statewide assessments for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. This includes the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) tests for grades 3-8 and End-of-Course exams for grades 8-12.

Project Lead the Way End-of-Course tests are also canceled for the 2019-2020 school year.

International Baccalaureate exams

The International Baccalaureate examinations scheduled between April 30 and May 22 for Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme candidates will no longer be held.

The IB Organization will use students’ Internal Assessments (IAs) to determine final IB scores. Most IB classes have one Internal Assessment (an essay, project, experiment, etc) that is completed during the school year and teachers score. IB schools now will submit all students’ work on the IAs no later than April 15, and the IB organization will use these assessments to determine the level of learning each student has achieved and issue a final score on a 1-7 scale.

Students are encouraged to reach out to their IB teacher and/or Teacher Steven Meek for additional information.

Advanced Placement exams

Advanced Placement exams have changed, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Traditional face-to-face exam administrations will not take place. Here are the highlights:

  • CollegeBoard has announced the new 2020 AP Exam Schedule, with test dates being between May 11- May 22. All students worldwide will take exams simultaneously, so it is critical students understand when they will test based on our school’s time zone (Central).
  • AP exams will all be administered online
    • Exams will be 45 minutes
    • Exams will NOT contain multiple-choice questions
    • Exams will be assessing a reduced scope of content, content that would “typically” have been covered before March

AP students should continue to work independently and under the guidance of their AP teachers in order to continue their studies and exam preparations to the best of their ability. Students and families are encouraged to reach out via email to contact their AP teachers or Mrs. Ingram, the AP Coordinator ( with any questions that you may have.

What about the A+ program?

Seniors who had at least a 2.5 cumulative unweighted GPA at the end of the fall of 2019 or spring 2020 semester will be eligible for A+. The total number of required tutoring/mentoring hours has been reduced to 25 to accommodate those students who were unable to complete their 50 hours prior to high school graduation. The Algebra I End-of-Course exam requirement has been waived for all 2020 high school seniors, including those who have already taken the exam but did not meet the requirement in addition to those who have not yet taken the exam. Waiver of this requirement also exempts the 2020 seniors from having to meet the ACT math subscore/high school GPA alternative.

Constitution Test, Civics Test and CPR/Heimlich Maneuver Training Statutes

The Missouri and U.S. Constitution test, Civics Test and CPR/Heimlich Maneuver Training have been waived for the graduating class of 2020, including those who have already taken the exams/trainings but did not meet the requirement in addition to those who have not yet taken the exams/trainings.
