Free vision screening


Free vision screenings are available for children ages 6 months to 6 years. No appointment is needed. Walk-in from  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Ray-Pec Early Childhood Cottage located at Raymore Elementary, 500 S Madison, Raymore. The screening detects nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, anisocoria, anisometropia, and allows the screener to observe for strabismus or a possible cataract by a trained technician sponsored by the Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation. About our School


The Ray-Pec Early Childhood Center offers tuition-free* pre-kindergarten instruction two half days per week. (*There may be minimal fees for field trips, snacks or other items.)

Cost


This program is free to residents of the Raymore-Peculiar School District.

Eligibility

Raymore-Peculiar residents who are 4 years old by July 31 of the upcoming school year are eligible to participate in the Early Childhood PreK program. Acceptance is based on class availability, we well as the needs assessment and PreK screening.
