Sympathy is extended to Karen Green on the death of her father, Jack A. Knight, 73, who passed away on Dec. 28, 2014. The visitation is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Ellett Memorial Hospital or Appleton City Cemetery. Karen is a special education process coordinator at Raymore Elementary School and Shull Elementary School. Congratulations to Brandon and Meagan Embry on the birth of their son, Breckin Lee Embry, who was born on Dec. 5. He weighed 7 pounds and was 19.5 inches long. Meagan is the daughter of Gail Schmidt. Gail is a Paraprofessional works in the Early Childhood Department.
Sympathy is extended to family and friends of Eddie Morgan on the death of her mother, Loretta Jean Browning, who passed away on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014. Funeral services were on Saturday, Dec. 13 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Bartlesville, Okla. ?Eddie teaches World Cultures at Bridle Ridge and Eagle Glen intermediate schools.
Sympathy is extended to family and friends of Joe Folkert of Raymore, who passed away on Dec. 3, 2014. The visitation and funeral service was on Dec. 5 at Mt. Moriah & Freeman, Kansas City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Heartland Hospice. Joe was a Ray-Pec school bus driver for Apple Bus Company. His wife, Vicki Folkert, is a former employee of the Ray-Pec School District. His granddaughter, Tabitha Folkert, works for the Panther Pride School Age Child Care Program.
