Ray-Pec DECA students qualify for state

Ray-Pec High School students qualified for the state DECA Conference in 12 events, after performing well at the DECA District 3 contest Feb. 8 at Independence Center. Fifty-four Ray-Pec students competed at Districts in a variety of marketing, entrepreneurship and management events.

This is a list of the individual winners, with notations of those who qualified for state:

  • Kobe Bennett and Maddie Eshleman, 1st place, Sports and Entertainment Marketing Operations Research (state)

  • MaCaylah Bowers, 6th place, Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling

  • Matthew Houston, 4th place, Professional Selling (state)
  • Malik Cosby, 6th place, Principles of Business Management and Administration
  • Lexi Stevens and Christina Sytkowski, 3rd place, Hospitality Services Team Decision Making (state)
