Major Saver card sale raises more than $29,000 for Foundation and schools

Thanks to everyone who supported the recent Major Saver card sale! More than $29,000 was raised for the Ray-Pec Public School Foundation and the participating elementary and middle schools.

Janet Shelman with Major Saver attended the April 10 Administrative Council meeting to announce the fundraiser's results.

In the front row, from left: Bridle Ridge Elementary Principal Missy Mattingly, East Middle School Principal Katie Campbell, Shelman, Eagle Glen Elementary Principal Robin Jones, Foundation Executive Director Jodie Huston, and Foundation Board Member Kim York.

In the back row: South Middle School Principal Randy Randolph, Raymore Elementary Principal Jennika Miller, Timber Creek Elementary Principal Lovie Driskill, Stonegate Elementary Principal Doug Becker, Raymore Elementary Principal Rob Weida, and Superintendent Dr. Kari Monsees.

Half of the fundraiser's proceeds, or $14,520, benefits the Foundation. The other half benefits the participating schools, based on the number of cards sold:

Bridle Ridge Elementary, $1,833.75

Creekmoor Elementary, $1,672.50

Eagle Glen Elementary, $1,612.50

Peculiar Elementary, $1,946.25

Raymore Elementary, $1,957.50

Stonegate Elementary, $1,575

Timber Creek Elementary, $3,067.50

East Middle School, $382.50

South Middle School, $465

(In the past, the sale included students in grades K-6. This year, the sale was expanded to include grades 7-8.)
