The School Board on April 26 approved more than $750,000 in capital improvement projects to take place around the District.
The District schedules maintenance and repair projects each year, but the list is more extensive this year with the additional funds available after passage of the Prop R-P levy increase.
Approved projects include: asphalt and concrete work at East Middle School and Creekmoor Elementary; crack seal repairs throughout the District; playground surface and equipment at Timber Creek Elementary; roof access ladder and repair at the High School; exterior wall repairs at Shull Early Learning; roof repairs at Bridle Ridge Elementary; new rooftop HVAC units at Peculiar Elementary, Ray-Pec High School, and Ray-Pec Academy; automation software for the new rooftop units; camera and intercom replacement at Raymore Elementary; fire panel replacement at Ray-Pec Academy and the District warehouse; and security access control upgrades District-wide.
In April, the Board approved extensive asphalt and concrete work at Eagle Glen, Raymore, and Timber Creek elementary schools. Additional projects are expected to be presented to the Board in May.
