The Ray-Pec Panther Pride Marching Band drumline placed 1st in the White Class at Drummit at the Summit on Sept. 15.
The 8th annual Marching Percussion Competition was Saturday, Sept. 15, at Lee's Summit High School.
Placing second in the White Class was Liberty, followed by Lee's Summit North in third place.
In the Gold Class: Harrisonville, first place; Raytown South, second place; and Smith-Cotton, third place. In the Black Class: Park Hill, first place; Olathe North, second place; Lee's Summit West, third place; and Liberty North, fourth place.
Marching band is one of the arts opportunities for students in the Raymore-Peculiar School District. Expanding opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) is a strategy in the District's Strategic Plan.
