Ray-Pec High School Theatre Department will present the musical "Songs for a New World" at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31, Feb. 1, and Feb. 2; and at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 3 in the Ray-Pec East Middle School Flex Theatre. "Songs for a New World" features a non-traditional musical story centered around a collection of thematically connected songs by the brilliant composer Jason Robert Brown. In each song, the characters find themselves facing major life decisions or challenges which leave them on the verge of a “new world.” The show is directed by Todd Schnake and Student Kathryn Clewell, with Music Direction by Stephen Rew, choreography by Student Abigail Ball, technical direction by Student Nick Hime, and featuring Teacher John Wilson and Teacher Travis Houston in the band. Tickets may be reserved now by calling 892-3999 ext. 2400. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults. Faculty members may see the show for free.
