Ray-Pec Volunteer of the Year is Jodi Price

VOTY 2019 Jodi Price b

Jodi Price is the 2019 Volunteer of the Year for the Raymore-Peculiar School District!

The Ray-Pec Council of PTAs made the announcement during a reception on April 30 to honor 14 nominees for the award.

Jodi is treasurer for both the Timber Creek Elementary School PTA and the PTA Council.

She was nominated for the award by Kyle Burke and Nicole Cline. They praised Jodi's involvement at Timber Creek. Jodi has served as chairperson for multiple committees and heads up the planning for the school's annual carnival. She assists at registration, works at all of the school's book fairs, and helps with family nights, musical programs, kindergarten round-up, and trick-or-treat street.

Their nomination letter said:

"Jodi is a consistent and dependable source when it comes to volunteering. She is a trusted and valuable asset to the Timber Creek school and PTA. Jodi is a vital part of the Timber Creek PTA and has volunteered to be a chairperson for multiple committees over the years leaving her mark on each. For the last four years Jodi has been the anchor for the Carnival which is one of the biggest events of the year. She spends months working with vendors for food and games, gathering prizes, and donations for the silent auction. She also finds all of the other volunteers that make the night possible. This year, Jodi is also the chair of the Staff Appreciation committee. She has lead 6 luncheons for the entire staff this year and celebrated each staff member’s birthday. To say that this is all she has done would be an understatement. She also volunteers at registration, works all three bookfairs, 7 family nights this year, counts box tops and labels monthly, set up and tear down for musical programs, kindergarten round up, and trick or treat street. She is also the treasurer and this year she is ALSO the treasurer of the PTA Council {where she is invaluable!}. She also comes up with and throws the most amazing class parties and does not shudder at the huge events like the carnival or Apex Fun Run. Jodi is someone you want on your team because she only makes everyone around her a little better!"
