Audrey Huffman from Raymore-Peculiar High School received national recognition at the FBLA Awards of Excellence Program on July 2. Huffman competed in Impromptu Speaking and brought home third place. Students are assigned a topic and given 10 minutes to prepare a 4-minute speech. They are permitted to use two 4x6 note card, which are collected after the presentation.
Huffman competed against approximately 200 finalists in her event. She will be a sophomore this fall at Ray-Pec High School.
FBLA, or Future Business Leaders of America, is the largest career student business organization in the world. Audrey is part of Ray-Pec High School's FBLA chapter.
