Stuff the Bus school supply drive to benefit Ray-Pec students

Community Bank of Raymore is hosting its 11th annual “Stuff the Bus” School Supply Drive to collect school supplies for children in the community. The event began July 22 and will conclude on Aug. 5. This year, organizers anticipate filling over 300 backpacks with new school supplies and are calling upon the community to help. Donations will be accepted throughout the community, including Community Bank branch locations between the lobby hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.

  • Community Bank of Raymore 801 W. Foxwood Drive

  • Community Bank of Peculiar 300 C. Highway

The supplies collected will be distributed to local families in the Ray-Pec and Cass Midway School Districts. School supply lists can be found at local merchants or on each school’s website. The most needed items are backpacks for all ages, hardcover 3-ring binders, Sharpies, dry erase markers, zippered binders and folders (variety in color, with and without brads).

"We are so fortunate to work with Community Bank on the Stuff the Bus project now in conjunction with the Ray Pec Cares Back to School Fair. It is so awesome to see the kids get the supplies and resources they need to start the school year off right! Taking care of these more basic needs does wonders for their ability to attend and learn at school." -Allison Scott, Ray-Pec School District Behavior Interventionist
