Rep. Chris Molendorp, R-123, left, and Sen. David Pearce, R-31x, congratulate Barbara Boucher, reading specialist at Creekmoor Elementary School, for her recent publication in the magazine “The Reading Teacher.” Molendorp and Pearce presented proclamations on March 30 from the state House of Representatives and Senate to recognize Boucher for her achievement. Superintendent Dr. Jeff Kyle, Assistant Superintendent for Academic Services Dr. Kevin Daniel, and Creekmoor Principal Jerrod Fellhauer were also on hand for the recognition. Boucher’s article, “Putting Life in Literacy,” was published in the March 2012 issue. The magazine is greated for teachers of students up to age 12. It includes teaching ideas, articles to help transform research into effective practice, and information on critical issues in teacher. The magazine is published online and in print eight times each year, from September to May, with a combined Deccember/January issue. Boucher said, “I’m proud that I’m able to bring positive news for our Ray-Pec district. My hope is that my efforts will inspire our great teachers at Ray-Pec.”
