The Raymore-Peculiar High School Theatre Department announces its upcoming production of “Almost, Maine.” Performances of the play will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, Friday, April 13, and Saturday, April 14, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 15. Almost, Maine takes place in a mythological town called Almost. The play is divided into eight vignettes and a prologue, interlogue, and epilogue. Each vignette is about some aspect of love. The characters experience love as magical, sometimes heartbreaking, and even joyous. The cast includes Sawyer Henkle as Pete, Tatum Branson as Ginette, Omari Collins as East, Logan Schoessel as Glory, Thomas Davis as Jimmy, Zhahn Gonzalez as Sandrine, Lauren Ellsworth as Waitress, Nate Weber as Steve, Madilynn Mansur as Marvalyn, Nellie Maple as Gayle, Alden Stockam as Lendall, Todd Bowles as Randy, Brooks Mackender as Chad, Jacob Trumbo as Phil, Madelon Wink as Marci, Karl Bradford as Man, Audrey Cetto as Hope, Rhett Laffoon as Dave, and Alyssa Moore as Rhonda. Working behind the scenes are Teacher Kelly Freeland as the director and Teacher Karla Penechar as the scenic designer and technical director. The assistant director for Almost, Maine is Student Delaney Swanson. The stage managers are Morgan Shea Lyle and Jacob Trumbo. The assistant set designer is Dylan Powell. The lighting designer is Allie Kotzias. The master electrician is Mallory Pearson. The sound engineer is Kate Young. The props manager is Sonia Jacobson. Master carpenters include Austin Mezzacasa, Jordan Pashen, Andy Peveler, and Dylan Powell. The costume mistress is Megan Settle and co-mistress is Nellie Maple.
