The Ray-Pec Theatre Department won 12 Cappies awards, including honors for best play for “The Foreigner.” The Kansas City Chapter of the Cappies is a critics and awards program for high school theatre. Ray-Pec received nominations for the musical “Legally Blonde The Musical,” and the play “The Foreigner.” Each participating school was able to enter two shows. Winners were announced May 26, at Blue Springs South High School. Cappies awards are given in 37 different categories.
