Students in the Panther Pride Summer Camp program had a field trip July 12 to the Chiefs Sports Lab inside Arrowhead Stadium. It features hands-on and interactive computer activities promoting the importance of being active, good nutrition, and healthy living. This educational center aligns with the Missouri Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) in Science, Physical Education and Health. The Chiefs Sports Lab includes the Health Center, which focuses on making the right choices and preventing injury, and Training Camp, where students about body systems and how 60 minutes of daily exercise benefits them. Students can walk inside a helmet and learn how the brain works and how to keep it healthy. In the Sports Nutrition Lab, students experiment with calories, activity levels and nutrition needs to find the right balance.
