Time Schedule:                   7:30 A.M.              Coaches Meeting

                                                8:00 A.M.              9th & 10th Grade Girls Race - Unlimited Entries (5K)

                                                8:45 A.M.              9th & 10th Grade Boys Race - Unlimited Entries (5K)

                                                9:30 A.M.              Varsity Girls Race - Limit of 7 runners (5K)

                                                10:00 A.M.           Varsity Boys Race - Limit of 7 runners (5K)

                                                10:30 A.M.           J.V. Girls Race - Unlimited Entries (5K)

                                                11:15 A.M.           J.V. Boys Race - Unlimited Entries (5K)

12:00 P.M.            Awards for the top 10 finishers in the varsity races and team trophies.

                               

Entry Info:           Entry Fee is $100.00 for a girl’s team and $100.00 for a boy’s team ($180.00 if you bring

both).  Individual entries will be accepted for $15.00/runner. Entries are due by NOON on Thursday, September 23rd.  Entry directions are below.

Awards:                40 Medals for each Sub-Varsity Race.

                                75 Medals for each Varsity Race.

                                Traveling trophies will be presented to the Varsity team champions in the large and small

class divisions. Coaches that won trophies last year, please remember to bring them.

 

T-Shirts:               The Coaches Association will have T-shirts for sale for $10.00 and $15.00.

 

Results:                 Results will be posted on the Ray-Pec cross country website (www.raypeccc.com).

 

Timing:                 We will be using chip timing again this year and coaches will get the athletes’ chips and bib numbers at packet pick-up on race day. Please make sure that all of your athletes properly attach the chip to their shoes.  Coaches and athletes are responsible for making sure their chips are securely on their shoes. The chips are disposable and will not be required to be turned back in.

 

Entries:                 Attached to the Info and Entry email you just received is an Excel file titled KC Metro Entry Form that you must fill out, save and send back to me at: jschur@bssd.net  In the top box you will need to write your school name where it says: Sample High School.  Below that and in the separate, designated cells type the athlete’s first name, last name, gender (M or F) and grade (9-12). It must be in the proper order and the proper format so we can upload them into the timing computer. Please follow the directions or your entries will be rejected. Entries are due by noon on Thursday, September 23rd to: jschur@bssd.net.

 

Directions:           From Kansas

Take 435 East to the Grandview triangle and take 71 Highway South towards Grandview.  Continue South on 71 Highway about 15 minutes past Grandview. Continue past 150 Highway.  Continue South past 155th Street, Belton, Raymore. Seven more miles to the Peculiar Exit.  Take the exit and turn left over the highway.  Go to the outer road that goes to the left, North. Go 1.5 miles and you will come to the 5th & 6th Grade Center.  Ignore this and go left around the curve. Go pass the new freshman center, pass the high School, pass the church and the next building is the Middle School. The course is behind the Middle School.

 

 

From Lee’s Summit area from 50 Highway

Take 291 South towards Harrisonville.  Going south you will pass 150 Highway. Continue south to the light at 58 Highway.  Turn right, west, about 4 miles to J highway.  Turn Left which is South on to J Highway.  Go south about 4 miles to 211th Street. Turn right, West, and go about 1 mile.  There will be a school and the track on your right.  Ignore them and go straight through the stop sign.  Go around the curve and about ¼ mile you will pass the high school.  Continue past the church and the next building is the Middle School the course is behind the Middle School.

 

 

From the North

Take 435 South to the Grandview Triangle and take 71 South towards Grandview. 

Same as directions from Kansas.
