Early Childhood

Eligibility
Raymore-Peculiar residents who are at least 4 years old by July 31 of the upcoming school year are eligible to submit an application to participate in the Early Childhood program. Following a needs assessment/screening process, participants will be notified of their eligibility for the program. Selection criteria will include both the needs assessment and the screening results.

Students and families from the Early Childhood program, Early Childhood Special Education, Panther Cub Academy and Parents as Teachers were invited to participate in Family Fun Game Night on Jan. 27 at Raymore Elementary School. Visitors enjoyed games, snacks and activities.

Firetruck visit
Teachers and families in the Ray-Pec Early Childhood Program enjoyed a picnic lunch on Sept. 18 at Raymore Recreation Park. Capt. Jason Hounderick and Tony Mitchell of the South Metro Fire Protection District visited the park and gave the children a tour of the firetruck. Tony Mitchell’s daughter, Ryliee, attends the Early Childhood program.

About our School
The Ray-Pec Early Childhood Center offers tuition-free* pre-kindergarten instruction two half days per week. (*There may be minimal fees for field trips, snacks or other items.)

Transportation
Parents or caregivers provide transportation. Transportation is not provided.

Cost
This program is free to residents of the Raymore-Peculiar School District.

Supplies
Students need to bring a backpack every day. Here is a list of requested supplies: Early Childhood School Supply List
