Board approves hiring employees
The board of education on June 27, 2012, approved hiring these employees for the 2012-2013 school year. They have start dates of Aug. 6, 2012, except as noted.

  • Carissa Buckalew, teacher, Ray-Pec East Middle School
  • Mark Cook, assistant principal, Ray-Pec High School (internal transfer to replace Ryan Gooding), effective July 23, 2012.
  • Traci Copenhaver, paraprofessional, Timber Creek Elementary, effective Aug. 9, 2012.
  • Lynette Dhone, teacher, Ray-Pec High School
  • Hannah Garrett, teacher, Ray-Pec High School
  • Kevin Gunnels, teacher, Ray-Pec High School

Board approves retirement and resignations
The board of education on June 27, 2012, approved the retirement of Mary Crumpley, teacher at Ray-Pec High School, effective May 22, 2012.

The board also approved these resignations.

  • Lynn Davidson, nurse, Ray-Pec High School, effective March 23, 2012.
  • Sandy Gowen, administrative assistant, Academic Services Department, effective June 8, 2012.
  • Danika Jaster, teacher, Raymore Elementary, effective May 30, 2012.
  • Paula McMillin, 550 teacher, effective June 13, 2012.
  • Margaret (Peggy) Teeple, teacher, Bridle Ridge Intermediate School, effective May 30, 2012.

Board approves extra-curricular resignations and hires

The board of education on June 27, 2012, approved these extra-curricular changes for the 2012-2013 school year.

  • Matt Breit, resigned as wrestling junior varsity coach.
  • Mark Cook, resigned as football varsity assistant coach and resigned as basketball 10th grade girls coach.
  • Brad Gaines, hired as football 9th grade assistant coach.
  • Jennifer Halvorson, resigned as yearbook sponsor for Peculiar Elementary.
  • John Heineman, resigned as football 8th grade assistant coach, and was hired as football 9th grade assistant coach.
  • Derek Howard, hired as softball 9th grade coach.
  • Janelle Krohn, hired as softball varsity assistant coach and hired as track 8th grade assistant coach.
  • Kim Kruse, resigned as basketball 9th grade assistant coach, and was hired as basketball 10th grade girls coach.
  • Nick Tebbe, resigned as football 9th grade assistant coach, and was hired as football varsity assistant coach.
  • Angela Wilke, resigned as the yearbook sponsor for Shull Elementary.
