2019 State Basketball Tournament

The Ray-Pec Special Olympics basketball teams continued their success this year at the state tournament, bringing home two gold medals and two silver medals!

The state games were March 20. Coaches are Teachers Cara Hornbeck, Catie Howlett, and Emma Howlett, and School Board Member Aaron Howlett.

Special Olympics Team Skills Gold

1st place - Gold! Panthers Team Skills

Special Olympics Panther Cubs

1st place - Gold! The Panther Cubs 3-on-3

The Panther Cubs 3-on-3 team won a gold medal. Belton Basketball Tournament

Ray-Pec Special Olympians brought home three gold medals and one silver medal from the Jan. 5, 2019, tournament in Belton. The teams are now preparing for regional competition in February in Sedalia. Teams that place first and second at regionals will qualify for the state tournament in March in St. Joseph.

Team Skills (Panthers)

The Team Skills team won a silver medal! Team members are: Grant Ewigman, Mallory Anderson, Sara Poe, Sabrina Peek, Paige Johnson, Carson Zaner, and Ella Raney.

2018 State Basketball Tournament

Ray-Pec Special Olympics athletes brought home the hardware from the March 17 state basketball tournament in St. Joseph - two teams won the gold, one team won silver, and one team won bronze medals!

1st Place - Gold! 3 on 3 Unified Super Senior Team:
