Summer School 2020

Calendar

Summer School is scheduled from June 1 to June 25, 2020. Students register in the grade level they will enter for the 2020-2021 school year.

Registration

Summer School registration will begin in April.

Elementary Summer School sites: 

  • Bridle Ridge Elementary (for students in the Bridle Ridge and Peculiar Elementary attendance areas)
  • Creekmoor Elementary (for students in the Creekmoor and Timber Creek attendance areas)
  • Eagle Glen Elementary
  • Raymore Elementary (for students in the Raymore Elementary and Stonegate attendance areas)

Elementary schedule

Students entering grades K-5 will attend class from 8:30 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The four-week Summer School is structured with two-week (eight-day) thematic units. A student may register for two weeks or four weeks. Physical Education will be incorporated into the Summer School schedule.

Secondary Summer School site

Students in grades 6-12 will attend Summer School at Ray-Pec High School. 

Middle School schedule

Students in grades 6-8 will attend class from 7:25 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The four-week Summer School is structured with two-week (eight-day) thematic units. A student may register for two weeks or four weeks. The Summer School schedule will include Physical Education/Band/Choir/Family and Consumer Science options.


High School schedule

Here is the daily schedule for High School students:

  • 7:05 to 7:20 a.m. - Breakfast available
  • 7:25 to 10:50 a.m. - Morning session (one 1/2-credit course)
  • 10:50 to 11:15 a.m. - Lunch available
  • 11:20 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. - Afternoon session (one 1/2-credit course)

Students in grades 9-12 may earn a maximum of 1.5 credits. These options are available:

  • Remediation class - 19 days/60 hours for 1/2 credit (half day)
  • Physical Education and Health - 19 days/60 hours for 1/2 credit (half day sections for incoming freshmen and upperclassmen)
  • Personal Finance - 19 days/60 hours for 1/2 credit (half day classes available for grades 10-12)
  • Launch Online Learning Courses (All catalog offerings, but no Advanced Placement courses)
  • Edudrone - All-day session for 1 full credit

Transportation

Morning and afternoon transportation is provided for all K-12 students, as needed. High School students attending morning only or afternoon only will need to arrange mid-day transportation.
