- Virtual Instruction Program of Ray-Pec (VIPR)
The Virtual Instruction Program of Ray-Pec (VIPR) provides an alternative to in-person instruction for students in grades K-12.
VIPR offers the opportunity for a student to take courses online that follow the same calendar and course objectives as in-person courses.
Elementary School (grades K-5)
Middle School (grades 6-8)
Ray-Pec High School - There is not a universal supply list for grades 9-12 due to the variety of classes taken at the high school level. Students will learn about their specific supply needs when classes begin.
The VIPR classes will be taught by Ray-Pec certified teachers and will follow the regular Ray-Pec curriculum. Therefore, these courses will be of equal rigor to the face-to-face courses and will take more daily time to complete. Live Google Meets will be offered for students to engage with their teacher and classmates, and are strongly recommended. These Meets will also be recorded by the teacher and shared in the event a student cannot attend.
Since a student will be enrolled in a full course load of up to seven subjects a day, families should expect the student to be working online for multiple hours each day. This may include direct instruction, group instruction, watching an instructional video and independent work. Direct instruction may include the class as a whole during a “live” session. The direct-instruction will be augmented with practice activities for students to complete offline at home.
