COVID-19 Data

The Raymore-Peculiar School District has committed to share information of each positive COVID-19 case among students and staff within 24 hours of us being notified by the Cass County Health Department.

Upon receiving a positive case confirmation, the District works with the Cass County Health Department to determine any individuals who may have had close contact with the COVID-19-positive student or staff member. Seating charts, class schedules, activity rosters, and other contact logs are used for contact tracing purposes in the event of a potential COVID-19 exposure.

If it is determined that your child has been in close contact with a positive case, you will be personally notified. Close contact is defined by the Cass County Health Department as being within 6 feet of an individual for more than 15 minutes within a 24-hour time period.

The COVID-19 data dashboard below is updated to inform you about positive cases in the school district.

The number of active positive cases reported includes students and staff testing positive who have been in school anytime 48 hours prior to the onset of symptoms being exhibited or 48 hours prior to a positive test if asymptomatic.

After an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 completes the necessary protocols to return to school or work as outlined by the health department and is therefore considered recovered, they will be removed from the totals listed below as they will no longer be considered an active case.

The District has implemented measures to minimize the risk, however anytime we are in a public setting, we increase our risk of exposure.

Notification of positive cases

During the 2020-2021 school year, the Raymore-Peculiar School District shared information of each positive COVID-19 case via email, sometimes daily. At the end of the school year, with the decrease in case numbers, the District changed the notification process. New cases will be posted as they occur while school is in session and weekly updates will be provided on this page.

To continue to receive the COVID-19 update email that includes notification of individual cases, you may subscribe here, as we will no longer be sending these automatically to all email addresses of parents and staff.
