Virtual Instruction Program of Ray-Pec (ViPR) provides an alternative to in-person instruction for students in Grades K-12

WHAT IS VIPR?

The Virtual Instruction Program of Ray-Pec (VIPR) provides an alternative to in-person instruction for students in grades K-12. VIPR offers the opportunity for a student to take courses online that follow the same calendar and course objectives as in-person courses.

Students can take courses from any Internet-connected computer, available 24-hours a day, seven days a week. VIPR’s mission is to offer students access to high quality courses, and interactive online learning that is neither time nor place dependent.

VIPR is operated and overseen by the Raymore-Peculiar School District and offers kindergarten through high school courses. Courses are designed by Ray-Pec teachers and aligned to the district and state standards. A formal review process is built into all course development to ensure high quality and rigor.

OUR ORIGIN STORY

VIPR was created in 2020 in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. Since then, VIPR has gained a foothold with students as well as parents in the Ray-Pec school district. Now a practical online learning platform, VIPR has expanded to surrounding districts, including Belton, Pleasant Hill, Harrisonville, Sherwood, Archie, and Midway.
