Summer School 2019

Summer School dates

The 2019 Summer School program will begin June 5 and end June 27 for grades K-8. It will end on June 28 for students entering grades 9-12.  

Summer School sites and Principals

Transportation

Morning and afternoon transportation is available for K-12 students. Bus routes will be modified based on student enrollment. Students may need to board their bus at a stop that differs from their regular school year location. The phone number for Apple Bus company is 318-1900.  Pick-up and drop-off times may vary by 5 -10 minutes.

Elementary (K-5) information:

  • The program for K-5 integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and math topics into courses in a project-based format. The program is open to all students. However, if your child needs additional remediation following the regular school year you will be invited individually by your child’s school.
  • Session 1 - June 5 - June 14 (includes Fridays)
  • Session 2 - June 17 - June 27 (no Fridays)
  • Students may choose to attend one session for two weeks or two sessions for a total of four weeks.
  • Student hours - 8:30 a.m. - 3:50 p.m.
  • First day: Students entering grades 1-5 should report to the gymnasium on the first day of summer school.   All students entering Kindergarten will report to the library.
  • Lunch and breakfast will be served daily: Breakfast, $1.70. Lunch, $2.55.

Middle School (6-8) information:

  • The program integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and math topics into courses in a project-based format. 
  • Session 1 - June 5th - June 14th (includes Fridays)
  • Session 2 - June 17th - June 27th (no Fridays)
  • Students may choose to attend one session for two weeks or two sessions for a total of four weeks.
  • Student hours - 7:35 a.m. - 2:55 p.m.
  • Lunch and breakfast will be served daily: Breakfast, $1.80. Lunch, $2.75.
