RPHS places 5th in combined sweepstakes at Liberty tournaments

Liberty V and N kids 2019

Ray-Pec placed 5th out of 50 schools in the Combined Novice and Varsity Sweepstakes at the Liberty North Varsity and Liberty HS Novice Tournaments (Jan. 18-19).

Ray-Pec placed third in the varsity sweepstakes. Brenden Lucas and Jaden Lanza placed first in Champ Policy Debate.

Other individual varsity results:

  • Tevin Chavez and Alec Heriford, 2nd in Duo Interpretation
  • Denton Meehan, 2nd in Comic Book Interpretation
  • Ella Schnake, 2nd in Program Oral Interpretation
  • Tevin Chavez, 2nd in Dramatic Interpretation
  • Katie Clewell, 2nd in Informative Speaking
  • Becca Bessette, 3rd in Program Oral Interpretation
  • Hailey Lucas & Caleb Walker, 3rd in Reg Policy Debate
  • Brenden Lucas, 3rd in Student Congress
  • Paige Rhoads, 6th in Comic Book Interpretation

Ray-Pec placed fifth in the novice sweepstakes. Paige Showen placed first in Humorous Interpretation, and Tara Thomas placed first in U.S. Extemporaneous Speaking.

Other individual novice results:

  • Blake Oser, 2nd in Prose/Poetry
  • Intan Putri and Tara Thomas, 3rd in Policy Debate
  • Mike Viermann, 3rd in Student Congress
  • Jessie Phillips, 4th in Prose/Poetry
