Superintendent Dr. Kari Monsees welcomed our new teachers to the District during their 3rd day of orientation. Foundation Executive Director Jodie Huston announced that each new teacher would receive a $25 grant to help purchase supplies.
The teachers were introduced to District administrators and principals, and also met local representatives from the Missouri State Teachers Association and National Education Association. Just for fun - Dr. Monsees and Dr. Al Voelker, Assistant Superintendent for Academic Services, played the Whisper Challenge - a game where one participant listens to loud music through headphones while another player whispers a phrase to them.
New teachers have a 4th day of orientation on Aug. 6, before all staff return to work on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
