New schedule for Parent-Teacher Conferences
Separate dates set for conferences for high school students
This year, the District is implementing a split schedule for Parent-Teacher Conferences. In the past, Parent-Teacher Conferences for all grade levels were conducted on the same dates - usually in late October.
High School conferences
This year, high school conferences will take place earlier in the year. The conferences are scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, and Thursday, Oct. 3.
The high school has three six-week grading periods each semester. The first grading period ends on Sept. 24. Scheduling conferences in early October will allow parents and teachers to communicate earlier in the semester if a student is experiencing difficulty in a class.
No school on Oct. 4
School is not in session on Friday, Oct. 4, to allow staff to participate in professional development activities.
Early Childhood through 8th Grade Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences for early childhood, elementary, and middle school students will be Oct. 29, 30, and 31, according to this schedule:
For younger students, having the conferences later in the fall allows the teacher to collect more information about the student's performance.
No school on Nov. 1
School is not in session on Friday, Nov. 1.
