Students and parents who would like help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are invited to a FAFSA Frenzy event from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3,in the library media center at Raymore-Peculiar High School.
The FAFSA is the first step in applying for federal and state aid to help pay for college. Financial aid professionals will be on hand to assist parents and students to complete the FAFSA. Please go to the FSA ID website at least 2 days before attending the Frenzy event to apply for your FSA ID (both the student and one parent will need to create separate FSA IDs). You will need the FSA ID to complete the entire FAFSA process.
Families should bring 2018 income tax documents and/or 2018 W-2s, Social security numbers will also be needed to complete FAFSA as well. This event is designed for the student and parent to attend at the same time. Students should bring their chromebooks or smart phones with the “mystudentaid” app already downloaded on their device to the event.
