Ray-Pec uses new tool to gather your feedback

Pulse logo

In an ongoing effort to improve school culture and focus on feedback related to parent and family engagement, the Ray-Pec School District is using a new tool.

Pulse is the new tool that sends regular, short, anonymous surveys. The quick and frequent feedback will provide District leaders with information to make better decisions related to school culture and family engagement.

In the past, the District sent out one or two comprehensive surveys during the school year. In addition, the District would send topic-specific surveys about things such as summer school, the school calendar, or parent-teacher conferences. Rather than sharing feedback once or twice a year, the new service will provide a systematic way for parents to provide continuous input year-round.

Using Pulse allows the District to gather information about topics such as communication, your child's safety, your child's learning, and school leadership. School principals sent out emails with directions for setting up a Pulse account. If you have children in multiple schools, you will provide feedback specific to each school. In addition, you can choose to provide your feedback through SMS text or email.

Ray-Pec began using Pulse about a year ago to begin gathering feedback from staff. Now, it's time to expand use of the tool to include parents. In the future, the District plans to roll out the tool to students.

If you have not yet signed up for an account with Pulse, you can do so by going to this site: Follow the directions as prompted. (If you are joining by mobile phone, you will be sent an authentication code to your phone that must be entered.) Next, you will be prompted to join the school.
