Footloose takes place in the small town of Bomont. In response to a tragic car wreck five years earlier, the elders of the town have outlawed dancing. Coming into conflict with that law is Ren McCormick, a teenager with troubles of his own who moves to the town from Chicago. Ren inspires the young people of the community to push for the town to move on from the tragedy and start living with joy again. Based on the 1984 film, Footloose is an energetic, thoughtful show full of hit songs and fun dancing.
