Making an IB Schedule

To make a schedule for the IB Diploma, think: 3 x 3 x 3. Three HL classes, Three SL classes, and three core components: Theory of Knowledge, CAS, and the Extended Essay. CAS and the Extended Essay will be completed in the Theory of Knowledge Class

Pick one class from each of the first five groups. Then your sixth class will be an IB Arts class or an elective from any group.

1

IB Language and Literature HL

2

IB Spanish SL, IB French SL

3

IB History of the Americas HL, IB Psychology HL, IB Psychology SL, IB Business Management, IB Social and Cultural Anthropology

4

IB Biology HL, IB Environmental Systems and Societies SL

5

IB Math Analysis and Approaches, IB Math Applications and Interpretations

6

IB Theatre HL, IB Film SL, IB Visual Arts SL

Keep in mind that some classes are required for graduation. Some classes are one year and others across two years.

What would some sample schedules look like?

Sample Schedule 1

Here is a typical schedule for many of our seniors Diploma Candidates. They have three HL Classes (English, History, and Biology) and chose Psychology as their elective). You can pick between our math classes and foreign language. You can also pick any other elective you would like.

During the blacked out periods, the students choose other classes outside the IB program to take for graduation requirements or as electives.
