Foundation awards more than $15,000

The Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation Prize Patrol on Oct. 26, 2022, presented $10,016 in grant awards. The Prize Patrol also surprised students at Ray-Pec Academy with $5,000 in funding for special projects.

The grant awards will be used for a variety of items including STEAM kits, knife safety classroom kits, laminated world/US desk maps, books, an inclusive bounce house, and supplies for the Robotics Team.

Participating in the surprise Prize Patrol were: Foundation Board President Allison Bruflat, Foundation Board Member Rich Bartow, Foundation Board Member Ashley Crowe, Foundation Board Member Cathy Wansing, Foundation Executive Director Jodie Huston, Superintendent Dr. Mike Slagle.

Grant for Physical Science activities

Bridle Ridge Elementary School teachers Kim Rice, Katie Mallory, and Samantha Schanzmeyer received a grant of $680 to purchase resources for physical science activities. Grant for Joey Jump game

Ray-Pec Academy receives $5,000 for student projects

The Foundation awarded $5,000 to Ray-Pec Academy students for specific projects. Students will work on several hallway/school beautification projects with Teachers Bruce Sharp, Paul Lichtenauer, Zechariah Blaine, and Jennifer Ramirez; and a Christmas meal for students, staff, and family members.
