Make sure your student's immunizations are up to date for the new school year. This particularly impacts students entering kindergarten, 8th grade, and high school.
The Cass County Health Department is offering walk-in clinics July 31 through Aug. 18 for back to school immunizations. You may also obtain the vaccinations at your health care provider.

Missouri’s annual back-to-school sales tax holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. Friday, August 4th, and runs through midnight on Sunday, August 6th. During this time, certain back-to-school purchases such as school supplies, computers, clothing, diapers, and other qualifying items as defined by statute are exempt from all state and local sales tax. 💻✏️🎒👕
New this year, in addition to the state sales tax, local sales tax will also be waived in all cities, counties, and special tax districts.
Learn more about qualifying purchases in the Missouri Department of Revenue’s news release.

Tomorrow is August 1st. That means it's time to get ready for back to school!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Chastain to the Bridle Ridge Family!
Dr. Jennifer Chastain will be the new principal at Bridle Ridge Elementary School, effective in July. The Ray-Pec School Board approved the hiring at its Feb. 9 meeting.
Dr. Chastain has worked for Nixa Public Schools since 2004. She is currently the principal at John Thomas School of Discovery, a STEAM elementary school. She has held that position since August 2015. Previously, she was the principal at Century Elementary School, assistant principal at Espy and Mathews Elementary School, and 5th and 6th grade teacher at Inman Intermediate School.
Earlier, she taught grades 5-8 for Springfield Catholic Schools.
Dr. Chastain said she is honored to be selected to serve as Bridle Ridge Principal.
“I look forward to meeting everyone and building strong relationships with the educators, students and families of Bridle Ridge," she said. "I cannot wait to join the Ray-Pec community!”
She will replace Dr. Missy Mattingly, who is resigning at the end of 2022-2023 school year to accept another position in the District.
