Mrs. Trutzel's second-grade class participated in a Google meet this week, which was joined by four-time NBA champion and superstar Stephen Curry, who shared his picture book, I Have a Superpower. Curry's book discusses 'growth mindset,' which was inspired by his own childhood experience of overcoming doubt and criticism and will tell how he utilized it to create his ever-positive attitude and fuel his own underdog story. He thinks that the book will teach youngsters that as long as they have heart, they can achieve any objective through hard work and determination—even if they don't have a cape!
