Buckle up, phone down

This week during Advisory Classes, Ray-Pec High School students are learning about the “Buckle Up, Phone Down” campaign. They will learn about distracted driving and then have the opportunity to take a pledge as part of the Missouri High School Showdown. Ray-Pec is competing against other Missouri schools. The first contest is for students - the schools with the highest percentage of students taking the pledge can win prizes. First place is $2,000; second place is $1,500; and third place is $1,000. There is also a second contest for family and friends. The school with the most family and friends taking the pledge can also win a $1,500 donation. Students in the Ray-Pec chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions will be available during lunch periods to help students sign the pledge. They will also have a School Pledge banner provided by AAA Missouri. You can participate by taking the pledge here.
