The building opens at 7:00 a.m. for car riders only. They may sit in the cafeteria from 7:00-7:10 a.m. Bus riders may enter the building at 7:10 a.m. Students may either eat breakfast in the cafeteria or sit in the main gym and chat with friends from 7:10-7:25 a.m. At 7:25 a.m. students will be dismissed to the pods. The school day begins at 7:30 a.m. This is a friendly reminder for everyone dropping off and picking up students here at South Middle School. We are asking all drivers to follow the posted signs. Those drivers exiting at the main entrance for car riders on the northwest side of the campus should turn right only towards Raymore. When drivers turn left at the main entrance onto School Road, we often have traffic congestion problems. If drivers need to turn left onto School Road, we ask for those drivers to turn into the parking lot of the west side of the school and go to the southwest corner of our campus by the fire station and make a left turn. We appreciate your cooperation to help our traffic flow process run smoothly.
