Information for Parents

Go online to check student progress and grades

You may monitor your child’s progress throughout the year. The orientation videos will help familiarize you with the programs.

K-5 teachers will report student progress within a standards-referenced format.

Students in grades 6-8 receive progress reports electronically every 9 weeks (quarters 1 and 3) and at the end of each semester (18 weeks). Courses that are two semesters in length will have a year-long grade calculated by averaging semesters one and two.

Students in grades 9-12 receive progress reports at six-week intervals. The third report is the first semester grade, and the sixth report is the second semester grade.

Ray-Pec uses Pulse to gather feedback from parents

The Ray-Pec School District uses Pulse, a tool that sends regular, short, anonymous surveys. The quick and frequent feedback provides District leaders with information to make better decisions related to school culture and family engagement.

The service provides a systematic way for parents to provide continuous input year-round. Using Pulse allows the District to gather information about topics such as communication, your child's safety, your child's learning, and school leadership. If you have children in multiple schools, you will provide feedback specific to each school. In addition, you can choose to provide your feedback through SMS text or email.

Ray-Pec first began using Pulse in 2020 to begin gathering feedback from staff. In 2021, it began expanding use of the tool to include parents. In the future, the District plans to roll out the tool to students.

If you have not yet signed up for an account with Pulse, you can do so by going to this site: Follow the directions as prompted. (If you are joining by mobile phone, you will be sent an authentication code to your phone that must be entered.) Next, you will be prompted to join the school.
