Please join us in welcoming Dr. Sarah Monfore as the new principal of Shull Early Learning Center beginning with the 2026-27 school year.
Dr. Monfore brings 23 years of experience in Missouri public education, including teaching special education at the early childhood and elementary levels and serving as an early childhood principal in two Kansas City-area districts. Most recently, she has worked in special education in Leeโs Summit, where she and her family live.
She previously served as an early childhood principal in Independence and North Kansas City, helping lead early learning and early childhood special education programs.
โI am most excited to know the people in the Ray-Pec district,โ Dr. Monfore said. โBuilding relationships with students, families, staff and the community is among my greatest joys.โ
She also shared that greeting students each morning is one of her favorite parts of the school day.
โI am also excited for the daily arrival of students,โ she said. โWelcoming students is an important way we show they are valued and build a sense of belonging.โ
Dr. Monfore said she looks forward to continuing the strong work already happening at Shull.

Dr. Monfore will follow Dr. Mary Shatford, who will retire at the end of the current school year after an outstanding 28-year career serving Raymore-Peculiar students and families.
