Online registration to open in mid-July: Watch for an email from the District in mid-July about registration for the 2023-2024 school year. The message will provide instructions to complete the registration forms and submit proof of residency online. All families, including those of new students, will be able to complete the required registration forms completely online. Verify residency: When you register your students for the 2023-2024 school year, you must provide one document to verify residency. Acceptable proofs of residency include utility bills (water, electric, or gas) in the resident's name, showing the service address. Save a document in late June or early July to be prepared for the July registration process. For more information click: https://www.raypec.org/o/rpsd/page/verify-residency What if I need assistance with registration? In-person registration will be available for families who don't have computer access, families who need documents notarized, families who need assistance completing the forms, and families with special circumstances. Please come to the Administrative Services Center, 21005 S. School Rd., on these dates: Friday, July 28: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2: Noon to 7 p.m.

What's New for Raymore Elementary? If you've driven by our school, you'll see lots of work being done and we are so excited! We are receiving a new playground, an overhang will be installed between the car rider doors and the library doors, the above-ground electrical wires on the car rider side by the library and on the playground will be buried underground, new windows throughout the building, and a new RE backlit sign with the address on it will be installed on the front of the building (the wooden sign above the front doors will be removed). These are just a few of the projects that will be completed during this summer's renovation! #raypec

We had the pleasure of celebrating our RE Ray-Pec Teacher of the Year and Support Staff Employee of the Year award finalists: Mrs. Beck, school counselor, Mrs. Meyer, 1st-grade teacher, and Mrs. Heinrich, attendance secretary during the awards reception last night. Every finalist was worthy of winning and we are very proud to celebrate their accomplishments. Congratulations!

The district has compiled a list of answers to some frequently asked questions. Those FAQs can be found: https://www.raypec.org/o/rpsd/page/prop-rp-1-faqs One question from those FAQs is this: Why does the ballot language reference an increase? The answer is this: When the debt service levy transfer question appears on the ballot, the District is asking voters: Can we shift existing tax contributions from one levy to the other, without changing the overall tax rate? The April ballot reflects the District's intention to increase the operating tax levy by 50 cents over three years and decrease the debt service tax levy by the same amount over three years to accomplish no net impact on the overall tax levy. We hope you will be able to take a look at the other FAQs to provide you with information about this election.

Hello RE School Family, Students at the LEAD Center have organized a campaign to collect (new unopened/sealed) chapstick for Operation Uplift, a nonprofit that distributes care packages to deployed service troops, from elementary school children. The campaign has a St. Patrick's Day theme and starts tomorrow, March 10 through Thursday, March 16. We realize this coincides with the RP Foundations' C.A.N. food drive, but we hope families think about supporting this initiative. The LEAD students are turning this into a friendly competition to add some excitement, and the top-donating classes will win the following rewards: First prize is a pizza party; second prize is an additional recess with a snack; and third prize is an extra recess. There is a special bucket in our office for your kiddos to turn in their chapstick! Thank you!
